Thank you to everyone for taking the time to check out this blog.  Since our efforts are focused on returning to Uganda full time I thought I might need a little more of a website to work with.  So I am leaving this blog and focusing our efforts on a new site.  Please take the time to go over and subscribe and you can continue to follow our journey there.  This should be the last post here for a long time.

We will be keeping updates going there for the next year and a half while we raise support.  It might be a little slow but we'll be there, not here.
thanks

"I am with you and for you. When you decide on a course of action that is in line with My will, nothing in heaven or on earth can stop you..." (Jesus Calling, Jan. 9). We have decided on a course of action that we believe is in line with God's will for our family and that is our return to New Hope Uganda's Kasana Children's Center as full time missionary staff. When we left Uganda, we had a feeling we would be returning on a more long-term basis, but we didn't want to act too quickly. So we waited to be certain. And we are certain for now it's where our family is meant to be. I will learn how to be a full time home school mom and hopeful mentor to a few young women. I've mentioned it before, but our family was more alive than we have ever been while in Uganda. The country, culture, people and environment really allowed us to grow as a family and really enjoy each other. There are precious people there who hold my heart and I can't wait to return! I can't wait to see the kids in the Jonathan family and see how they have grown, both physically and in their understanding of God's love for them. I look forward to seeing little Sam and seeing if I can still make him smile that half smile of his. So, this is the course set before us. It seems insurmountable, but we are certain it's the way we are to go. Our goal is to leave for Uganda in June 2014. Will you consider partnering with us?

We are trying to get the word out so pass this on to anyone and everyone. We are working on another website that will offer us a little more flexibility. I hope to copy this blog over to the new one at some point. Its not to pretty and needs some work (it takes a while to learn how to write codes) but it will be replacing this one at some point. Check it out at dolgehut.com

Please continue to be praying for us and this new direction. If you wold like a prayer card sent to you just let us know. We are working at building up our contacts so please drop us an email dolge@cvinternet.net

We are looking at some startup costs associated with moving to Uganda. There will be the cost of tickets to Uganda, one way this time. We will get to build a house once we are there. It will be ours as long as we are there and then NH will use it for the next family. We will be raising a special fund as well for a vehicle once we get there. I'll be able to sell my tractor and car here to help offset this. Not sure why cars in Africa can cost more than in the States.

Donate through New Hope. In the program area click individual foreign missionary staff and type in our names. If you are interested in monthly support you can select the monthly box as well. https://www.givedirect.org/give/givefrm.asp?CID=11859

As we start a new year we start a new journey. One that will be where God wants us. Its the next chapter in our desire to work with the children in Africa. New Hope has invited us back to serve as missionaries on a more long term basis. There are many steps to take and many new lessons to learn, but we know this is where we are supposed to be for this next few years. We invite you to join us in praying for us as we start the process of support raising and leaving Alaska. Stay tuned for updates and ways you can come along and partner with us.
Its been a long cold winter so far and we welcome the new year with a 30 degree break from the -30 degree weather we have had most of the winter so far.
Taylor and Trevor were in charge of the fireworks this year. We could actually go outside and enjoy them this year. Tobyn made it till about 10pm before he zonked out.
